Subsidy is one of the fiscal policies which is needed for the economy to achieve to the equilibrium or its potential. We can see a subsidy in different perspectives in economics, by seeing it from the short run perspective to a long run perspective by analyzing it from the intertemporal analysis. In the long run perspective, a subsidy can also seen as a powerfull tool in a development, especially if a subsidi is set in particular sectors, like education and health. Some empirical evidences show that a subsidy in education can be a strong buffer from preventing nation to the negative effect of globalization-inequality of income. Thus, it can be a solutive way to reduce a poverty in Indonesia.
